Electric Fence For Pigs

Pigs really are...pigs.

High-tensile woven wire fences are generally used for pig containment (40 inches high); however, for electric fencing, consider a fence height at least 24 inches high.

They tend to spend their days eating; and because they have their faces near the ground all day, electric fence installers will want to place fence wire 4-6 inches from the ground, to start, and closely spaced after - especially for piglets.

A safe low-impedance fence charger for pigs can be at least 2000 volts along the fence line that can penetrate through mud and weeds.
